Who We Are

We're PNGFoundry, an independent design studio that creates digital mug and tumbler designs and offers them freely to the crafting community. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. We believe transparency shouldn't require a law degree, so we've written this in plain language.

If you have questions, reach out directly at [email protected]

What Information We Collect Information You Give Us Voluntarily

We only collect personal information when you choose to share it. This happens when you:

  • Make a financial gift — If you choose to contribute through our payment processor (Stripe or PayPal), they collect your payment information. We receive confirmation that a gift was made, along with your email address if you include one. We never store your full card details on our servers.
  • Share your story or photo — If you submit a testimonial, photo of your finished project, or a message about how you used a design, we receive that content and your name or username as you provide it.
  • Join the sustainer circle — If you sign up for recurring support through our sustainer program, we collect your email address and gift preferences to manage that relationship.
  • Contact us directly — Any name, email, or message you send us voluntarily.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, some information is collected automatically through standard web technology:

  • IP address (anonymized where possible)
  • Browser type and device type
  • Pages you visited and time spent on them
  • How you found us (search engine, social media, direct link, etc.)
  • Downloads initiated

We use this to understand how people are using the site so we can improve it.

Cookies

Yes, we use cookies. Here's what that actually means:

What's a cookie? A small text file stored on your device that helps websites remember things or track behavior across sessions.

We use cookies for the following purposes:

Analytics Cookies

We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use our site — which designs are popular, how people navigate the pages, and where visitors come from. This helps us make the site better. This data is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.

Advertising Cookies

We run occasional advertising campaigns to help new crafters discover the studio. To support this, we use advertising-related cookies (such as those from Google Ads, Meta/Facebook Pixel, or Pinterest Tag). These tools may track your visit and use that information to show you relevant ads on other platforms, or to help us measure whether our ad campaigns are working.

We understand not everyone is comfortable with advertising cookies. You can manage or opt out of cookie tracking by:

  • Adjusting your browser settings to block or delete cookies
  • Using the Google Analytics Opt-Out browser add-on
  • Visiting Your Ad Choices (optout.aboutads.info) to opt out of interest-based advertising
  • Using a browser extension like uBlock Origin or similar
